Young Women of Color - June 2012 Event
BARC is hosting an education awareness workshop for young women of colour living in the GTA, with the hope of providing the young women with opportunities of peer mentorship after the workshop.
The event will host a dialogue for young women regarding issues that affect their educational opportunities and, more specifically, issues that relate to and affect young women of colour in our quest for academic achievement. Our approach is to use this event as an opportunity to broaden the connections that girls in our community have with undergraduate and graduate students.
Our workshop will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012, from 12:30pm to 5:30pm, at Oakdale Community Centre. This day will be fun-filled, entertaining, and enlightening.Read on...
